We wanted the super fun EVO models to be accessible to everyone, so we took the 11m carbon fiber frame - yes, the same one as the S-Works - and equipped it with a bombproof SRAM GX Eagle 12-speed drivetrain and alloy wheels. The Stumpjumper EVO Comp is ready for anything. Suspension travel is useless without the right kinematics, and we kept this well in mind in the design of the Stumpjumper EVO. With what we learned from developing the Enduro and over 1000 hours of field and lab testing, we greatly improved the pedaling and created the sense of capability, efficiency, and liveliness that everyone appreciates. We increased the anti-squat so that the suspension better resists bobbing, and we also improved shock absorption on sharp obstacles. In short, the Stumpjumper descends with complete control and climbs with agility. The Stumpjumper EVO's "S-Sizing" geometry is the most progressive. Long, low, slack, short offset fork, steeper seat tube - they make you pedal better. But the perfect geometry can be different for different bikers, which is why the Stumpjumper EVO can be adjusted to six different positions. Not only can you raise the bottom bracket by 10mm, but you can also adjust the head angle by up to two degrees. Finally, if you like the mullet, for the Stumpjumper EVO you can mount a 27.5" rear wheel paired with a 29" front. The Rider-First Engineered™ technology is a size-specific approach in design to ensure the same ride characteristics for all sizes. So if you're not exactly a giant and ride an S1, or if you need the long S6, you'll tackle the curves with the same confidence, with equivalent stiffness balance, all at the lightest weight possible. In 2016 we introduced the SWAT™ compartment into the Stumpjumper frame, to store pumps or other items for puncture repair. Now, for the Stumpjumper, we have increased the space even further, introducing a container, the SWAT™ Bladder, that allows you to carry 650 ml of water in the down tube - the same amount as a water bottle.
