Tubeless Ready rims with 23mm wide inner channel allow for greater smoothness by reducing acceleration resistance, while ultralight hubs with internal mechanisms DT Swiss 240s and the freewheel body Ratchet EXP at 36 graft points ensure maximum fluidity.

Our fastest wheels ever
The Aeolus RSL wheels offer a new dimension in terms of speed. Thanks to the 3D models used during the iterative design process, we could more accurately assess the effects of each gram of resistance, in each direction, through any plane and in all elements of the wheel-pneumatic system. But we're not limited to this. We also optimized rolling resistance, choosing the inner width of the circle (23mm) which proved the fastest.

By completely rethinking our design process, with Aeolus RSL we went far beyond the marginal advantages. By introducing the three-dimensional CFD modeling in our iterative feedback cycle and integrating additional variables between those that influence speed, we were able to best replicate the real world conditions, making wheels that are not only faster, but also offering a radical change in speed.

The shape of the rim and the aerodynamically more efficient wheel/pneumatic profile make it possible to demonstrate the rolling resistance, contributing with a considerable saving in terms of watts. Compared to the previous Aeolus wheels of similar depth, with the new Aeolus RSL a cyclist like Mads Pedersen of Trek-Segafredo can save up to 34 watts in sprint phase.
