The union of attention to aerodynamics and polyvalence creates Wind 40 DB. It is natural to stress that the 40 mm circle design is the direct descendant of the 55 profile: all the solutions developed for the highest profile have been reported here, in a less specialized version. 40 mm therefore, a light circle, created by the overlap of layers of modern unidirectional, wide and pronounced nose (8 mm radius): innovative forms, designed to merge with the tire in a single element able to eliminate turbulence, avoiding interrupting the air flow that meets the wheel during the race. But 40 mm also means polyvalence, because it is generally one of the most appreciated heights by those who do not want to unbalance, but have the possibility to have an excellent wheel uphill, rigid and snappy, precise driving. The system is completed with aluminium hubs, designed to support 24 “straight pull” rays, ensuring maximum overall stiffness both in acceleration and during braking, without influences due to the asymmetric nature of the forces coming from disk and cassette.

Wind rim profiles have a very wide aerodynamic design (27 mm) with a very pronounced 8 mm profile that allows an extraordinary air penetration and creates an element of continuity with the cover, without interrupting the flow: no dissipative turbulence is created and maximum control is guaranteed, even in non-frontal wind conditions. Another constructive detail that can give an idea of the care with which the new circle is designed and realized is Mo-Mag technology, a real added value for carbon structure: no ray mounting holes are required, no transformation is required to switch to tubeless tires and there is no processing that disrupts the continuity of carbon filaments. It increases the strength and rigidity of the circle, and the feeling is impressive.
Wind 40 DB is definitely the versatile choice, with a strong focus on aerodynamics, to be fast, very, uphill, very fast, in the plain, and just downhill.
