The rubber strip, sculptural design and shape are together the heart of the performance of a tire: the point of contact between land and bicycle. It consists of a clever mix of chemical elements and a tread design that significantly increases the performance of the tyre. Thanks to the innovative SmartNETTM Silica mix and the ICS and FDG technologies, it guarantees a never proven cycling experience.

Mixture
Derived from extensive experience in Motorsport, both on four and on two wheels, on road and off-road, the SmartNETTM mix Silica is a major innovation in bicycle tires. Thanks to the elongated nanoparticles, a stable network is generated within the mix and the natural chemical affinity with silica water increases, overcoming the typical compromise of traditional compounds while maintaining excellent performance in rolling resistance, durability and puncture resistance.

Construction
Installed on a 127tpi carcass, the tread is developed with technologies Pirelli Functional Groove Design and Ideal Contour Shaping: the fabric carcass is designed to ensure an optimal ground footprint, while the different curvature radius between tread and hips guarantees a controlled deformation of the tire at different speeds and bend angles.

Breaker
A fiber aramide belt placed under the tread to protect the structure from elements that can generate a drilling. Aramide is a fiber with high resistance to cutting and abrasion: its lightness and flexibility ensure low rolling resistance and overall high performance of the tyre.
