Specialized Roubaix SL8 - Morning Mist/Smoke
The Roubaix SL8 is the most comfortable racing bike ever tested by the Ride Science Team, reducing the impacts to the handlebar by 53% compared to other bikes in this category. With the Future Shock 3.0 cartridge, the wheel overrides the obstacle while the cyclist remains stable and maintains the trajectory on a dissected background. Normally, the fork flette backwards on an impact, causing a loss of speed. It's scientific, more comfortable means faster.
CHAPTER'
Roubaix has pioneered endurance geometry, giving you the feeling of cycling 'inside' to the bike, not 'on' bike. So the pressure on the hands, shoulders and arms decreases, giving you capacity and safety on any road.
With light tyres with a section up to 38c/40mm this endurance road bike provides an exceptional traction on rough roads or on the gravel. Thank you tyres Specialized light and efficient, this section does not have disadvantages.
Roubaix wants to spend a long day on the saddle, so we thought to equip it with everything that could serve for cycling adventures - three attacks for bottle holders, bag attack on the horizontal and predisposition for any fenders. You just have to leave!
The lowered clamp design exposes a greater portion of the braid to increase its bending. The Pavé brace 'controls' this movement for optimum vibration absorption in the vertical plane. These two things together form the 'AfterShock' technology, and in combination with the Roubaix rigid rear carriage, create a smooth guide, without compromising efficiency.
VIBRATIONS
The Future Shock 3.0 cartridge is the new star in the signature, more adjustable and durable. Regardless of the saddle position, each cyclist can use 20mm of excursion, without friction, between the handlebar attack and the steering tube. The hands on the handlebar remain firm, ensuring a more regular guide with greater control to be faster, safer and confident.
