The 20mm race on the front wheel and 30mm on the rear wheel absorbs shocks and improves control, efficiency and responsiveness respect. Under the aspect of power transfer, it is quite similar to a rigid bike.
The hydraulic amortization of the new Diverge STR avoids 'bobbing' under effort. You won't fall out of the saddle when you take an obstacle on the path, and pedal efficiency remains intact.
