Bicycle Specialized Tarmac SL8 Expert - Gloss White/Black Metallic
No bicycle is as fast as the Tarmac SL8 thanks to a combination of aerodynamics, lightness and driving qualities previously considered impossible. After eight generations and over two decades of development, it is not only the fastest Tarmac ever: it is the fastest racing bike in the world. Are your legs ready?

AEROSPACE ENGINEERING
We use the aerodynamics where it is most necessary, and in the process we have created our road bike faster than ever - yes, even more aerodynamic than the Venge. The front part has been optimized to achieve maximum advantage. The section of the fork is placed posteriorly compared to the front of the steering tube frame to offer a much lower aerodynamic resistance. Thanks to the new UCI rules, for the SL8 we could use the tightest and most aerodynamic braid we have ever made, to ensure that the turbulent air in the leg area can flow more easily towards the back of the bicycle.
LEGGING
To create the Tarmac SL8 and make the most aerodynamic bicycle, respecting the minimum weight requirements imposed by UCI we were inspired by what we learned with the Aethos. The team made a frame 685 grams, lighter than 15% compared to the Tarmac SL7 and lighter than any other World Tour* bicycle. Focusing on the maximum lightness possible in the area of the oblique tube, the saddle tube and the back of the bicycle, we have adopted the lessons learned in the Aethos project. The forms of frame respond so efficiently to the stresses that it was possible to reduce the thickness of the material, eliminating the unnecessary. * Except for that time when Kasper Asgreen ran with our frame Aethos 585 grams during a tour.
GUIDANCE QUALITY
The rigidity-weight ratio of the Tarmac SL8 is better than 33% compared to the SL7. The Tarmac SL8 establishes a new reference for handling: is precise in the most demanding situations and responds immediately and efficiently to pedal inputs. While areas that ensure power transfer and driving accuracy are more rigid than ever, the Tarmac SL8 is more comfortable, filtering 6% more of the stresses from the ground and allowing you to attack the curves with a unique feeling of agility and balance in the racing bike world. The new Tarmac SL8 maintains the proven geometry of the SL7 model, with the same generous space for the tyres of 32 mm, so you can use a more volume cover when necessary.
OTHER DIFFERENCES OF GENERE
In reality there can be many more differences between two men cyclists, than between a man and a woman. We design according to the individual and our philosophy is simple: Do not create differences where there are no differences. Every cyclist, man or woman who is, can take advantage of the advantages of the Tarmac SL8. Time to go further.
The Tarmac SL8 Expert Di2 mounts the Ultegra Di2 group, C38 tubeless ready wheels in carbon, SL7 handlebar attachment with handlebar Specialized Expert Shallow drop.
