Ideal for you!
You're looking for a carbon trail bike that can tackle any kind of adventure, from simple singletrack, to the most challenging descents to the most difficult climbs. It is not a problem to save on the parts to have the best in frame terms.
The technology you get
Carbon frame OCLV Mountain lightweight and rigid, with internal holder, FOX Rhythm 36 140mm fork, 130mm rear hike thanks to the FOX Float Performance rear suspension with exclusive Trek RE:aktiv damper, transmission Shimano SLX/XT from 1x12 with a wide range of ratios, Comp 30 TLR wheels with 54 tooth Rapid Drive rear hub, telescopic braces Bontrager Lines and powerful hydraulic disc brakes Shimano 4 pistons.
The last word
Full suspension control on a lightweight and durable carbon frame makes driving fun and fast. It is sufficiently robust for challenging descents, but capable of squeezing uphill and accelerating.
That's why you'll like it
- Do not confuse the Fuel EX 9.7 with other carbon models of the competition: this bike offers a revolutionary chassis and exceptional suspensions, to which are added wheels and unfailable transmission
- The elegant interior compartment offers a versatile solution to store tools and equipment
- The most muscular and rigid 36mm stems allow you to push to the maximum with safer and more precise steering that do not compromise the trajectory
- RE:aktiv suspensions are smarter and more efficient. They offer stable pedal support that allows you to overcome asperities instantly
- To ensure the ideal fit for all cyclists, we have expanded our range of measures. In addition, you can install the fastest and most efficient wheel according to frame size: 27.5" on XS frames; 27.5" or 29" on S and 29" frames on M to XL frames
Will my bike have a curved horizontal tube?
The smaller frames (XS and S) are equipped with horizontal tube that curves approaching the saddle tube. This design allows a lower standover height, great for lesser cyclists because it allows you to get on the saddle more easily. The larger frames (from M) have a straight horizontal tube since the tallest riders have longer legs and usually do not have the same problems with the height of the standover.
Internal storage
The internal glove holder allows you to avoid the underseal bag, allowing you to transport all the essential items for your exit.
Active Braking Pivot
Active Braking Pivot technology has enabled our engineers to optimize suspension behavior when reacting independently to acceleration and braking forces. This means that you can get a more secure control when needed.
RE:aktiv
The RE:aktiv technology offers a solid support for an efficient pedal that immediately turns into control fluidity when the trail becomes bumpy.
Straight Shot with Knock Block
Trek's Staright Shot design optimizes the relationship between stiffness and frame weight by offering a more responsive ride. You can ride stronger and stay planted on your line when the game gets tough.

Geometry and technologies
The tables below show the recommended measurements according to height, but there are other factors, such as the length of arms and legs, which determine the arrangement. That is why there are heights for which some recommended measures overlap each other. Not all 170cm high cyclists, for example, will have to choose the same bike size. The best way to identify the correct setup is to consult an expert at the nearest dealer.
