Calling her a rain jacket is definitely reductive. Although it is an exceptional rain jacket, it ends up using 95% of the time in dry conditions because it is so compact that it can fit in the central pocket, ready to be worn when a long and cold descent arrives or to cover during a coffee stop or to keep warm waiting for the arrival of other pedaling companions. We called this Idro 3 jacket. At first this name doesn’t seem to say much, but we find out why it’s called that. “Idro” indicates its connection with water. Or better, with its ability to protect from the entrance of the water, leaving the sweat out. It does both things very much but very well. Better than we ever did. The 3 in the name indicates that this is the third version of the product and we can say that we are now approaching the maximum of what can be achieved with a rain shell. On the back there is a great innovation, with a wide GORE-TEX® panel highly elasticized that allows us to give the jacket a tight cut (no to the slippery fabrics, so you can sow your pedal companions). At the same time the jacket adapts without problems to wrap even with full pockets - or to dress comfortably on normal people with some extra belly thread. In addition to the elastic panel, we have given special attention to fit, construction of finishings, large refractive panels and especially to the closures of the wrists with a new inner gaiter. We made this jacket as rich as possible when wearing it, but it will remain a lot of time in your pocket in rainy days or when you need it right to cover you in the long mountain descents. He weighs less than many shirts and can disappear occupying only half pocket. It has only one drawback: the fabric is so light to be even a little fragile, so treat it carefully: it will be one of the most important garments in your cycling wardrobe.
